Rev. 20: 5 "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished."
I never could understand how the bible couldn't get this right since everyone (righteous and unrighteous) were supposed to be resurrected during the Thousand Year Reign according to WT publications.
Oooops, I guess I wasn't supposed to pick up on this.
my personal opinion is someone that's gonna rule in heaven, has to prove himself on earth before.
so satan don't have accusations against that person.
a christian king is a loving one.
Hello There!
The biblical requirements to be annointed (set apart & adopted as a son of God) is :
1. You have to accept that you are a sinner and cannot change your position with your will-power because even "your righteousnesses are like filthy rags" to a perfect and holy God (Is. 64: 6).
"And Jesus answered and said to them, “It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick." - Luke 5: 31
2. You must receive Jesus as your personal savior because "it is appointed unto man once to die and then judgement" (Hebrews 9: 27). Because each person will personally stand trial after they die, they need a personal Savior to pardon them.
It really is about that simple. The apostle John says quite succinctly:
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God. - John 1: 12
.......do you still believe the organization's false teaching that romans 6:7 refer to a person's literal death?.
watchtower may 15th 1982, pp.
8,9 - "the bible explains that at death a person is set free or released from any sins he committed.".
More:
* Our "old man" is crucified with him v. 6
* We are dead to sin v. 2
* recon yourselves to be dead v. 11
* we are freed from sin v. 7
All of these verses are about what happens to a person when they completely surrender to Chist and accept the New Covenant.
The WT would be the first to state that the NT scriptures only applies to those born again (annointed).... Except of course for Romans 6: 7 which they take out of context and claim you can get your sins forgiven without being borrn again and without needing to be part of the NC. (See Mt. 26: 27-28) The NC is specifically "for the forgiveness of sins".
The WT is a perfect religion for unsaved people. You get to do it all yourself and if you get it wrong you'll simply wake up in paradise surrounded by panda bears and fruit.
Of course neither Jesus or any other prophet taught this nonsense.

If Romans 6: 7 in context:
* we are buried with him in baptism
* we are dead to the law
* being made free of sin we are now servants of righteousness
“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man" - Jer. 17: 5
We were warned.
jehovah's witnesses believe that only 144,000 go to heaven, where as the bible teaches us that all who come to jesus can!
nothing in the bible for 144,000.. the bible teaches that salvation is not through religion, works, self righteousness or human effort.
but salvation is only through the person of the lord jesus christ.. feel free to watch below.
Cofty,
You made bold moral statements right off the bat on this thread related to Judgement, Salvation, Moral Law and Laws of Logic. This is what discussion boards are for... working through ideas and truth statements.
So, how do you explain your belief in the stability of the laws of logic from an atheist worldview?
Surely you must have some foundation for your beliefs. Would you agree that your reliance on the stability of the laws of logic contradict your professed beliefs about our origins? If not, why not?
Are you just going to drop the F bomb on this thread and not even attempt to explain why?

Well, I hope you'll think about it.
So, how do you explain your belief in the stability of the laws of logic from an atheist worldview? Where do they come from and what basis do you have to believe in their stability?

I thought it was odd when you said you 'wanted' to be an atheist. Why?
For me, it was primarily a reflex from the indoctrination from the WT. The WT led me to believe that Christians were the most evil part of "Babylon the Great". So, Christianity was the last place I would look for truth after leaving. But, I got over the indoctrination little by little after learning to reason logically.
I eventually realized that the laws of logic itself is rooted in a Christian worldview and not an atheist one. Laws imply a law giver. Chaos, random unguided DNA copying mistakes doesn't produce laws. And, if they did why would they be the same everywhere?
Why would the laws of logic be so stable in a random happenstance universe? Why wouldn't the laws of logic be different in Austrailia, or on the moon if everything is just chance? It makes no sense. I believe that we know that the laws of logic are stable because they come from the Creator himself, "who changest not". (Mal. 3: 6)
The atheist must borrow stability from the Christian worldview in order to attempt to formulate an argument against God. Very illogical.
By the way, I spoke to Fred Williams, the host of Real Science Radio. He said he would love for you to come on the show and explain your ideas on evolution.
Would you agree to explain evolution and atheism on the radio show?
I suggest a format where he would ask questions to two former very active JW's (you and me, one atheist and one believer). It would be very respectful and you could reach a wide audience with your ideas.

Cofty,
You would not even be able to make your posts if Christianity wasn't true. How would you know what evil even was if we are nothing more that DNA copying mistakes and chemicals? What does it matter what one jar of chemicals does vs. another jar of chemicals?
